LGBTQ+ & Gay Wedding Photographer London

My journey from being a shamed and anxious teenager, fearful of being myself, to becoming an out and proud London gay wedding photographer, was a long but truly rewarding process. It’s an honour to create wedding images that celebrate who you are and who you love; providing you with a safe space and the freedom to be 100% yourselves on your special day.

With me, it doesn’t matter where you sit within the LGBTQ+ rainbow – you are valued and celebrated. Whether you identify as gay, queer, non-binary, lesbian, transgender, assexual, or prefer not be labelled at all, you are welcome here.

You can be unapolgetically loud and proud, currently working towards self-acceptance or still be questioning your own identity and status. It is all OK and I want to work with you to make you feel special, uplifted and fabulous in your own skin.

If you are looking for queer wedding photography that centres on joy and connection, and leaves you loving yourself a little bit more, then you have come to the right place.

Queer Wedding Photographer London 1

I understand that, as an LGBTQ+ couple,  one of your biggest priorities may be finding a wedding photographer where you feel comfortable to be unashamedly yourselves. A photographer who wants to celebrate every one of your wonderful qualities and who captures all those idiosyncrasies that make you so bloody marvellous!

I’m here to do just that!

I want your wedding photos to be a dazzling reflection of who you are and a celebration of the happiness you have found together.

My pronouns are He/Him and I identify as a gay man. Whilst I may predominantly refer to gay wedding photography or LGBTQ+ weddings on this page, I love working with couples like you – however you identify.

I make it my number one priority to ensure that your LGBTQ+ / queer wedding experience is as exciting and smooth sailing as you deserve it to be.  There is no pressure from me to change any aspect of your style, taste or personality and I create modern and vibrant wedding photos without you ever leaving your comfort zone. That’s a promise.

So, let’s embrace who we are, show the world how beautiful queer love is and celebrate your relationship with pride and passion.

Gay weddings. LGBTQ weddings. Same sex weddings. Are they any different to straight weddings and should we not just refer to them all simply as weddings now?

Whilst as a gay photographer I agree that we should be working towards a world in which we don’t need to distinguish between straight and gay weddings, planning an LGBTQ+ wedding day can sadly add an extra layer of stress to what should be a joy-filled experience.

I’ve worked with so many gay couples across London who get frustrated by reading about wedding photography packages that refer solely to ‘bridal prep to first dance’ coverage or are asked to complete forms that are written soley with straight couples in mind.

Even gay photographers can make assumptions about you and the wedding day that you are planning. These experiences can take the sheen off what should be the best time of your lives. I pride myself on being a same sex wedding photographer that doesn’t resort to lazy stereotypes by placing you in generic poses.

By booking me as your London gay wedding photographer, you can relax knowing that your wedding photography experience is free from these frustrating and alienating experiences and know that my passion for gay wedding photography stems from being a proud gay man who values individuality.  I’m excited to photograph your wedding because I know I can ensure every element of the occasion is captured beautfully; from the getting ready nerves and excitment, to the tears-inducing speeches and those oh-so-funky shapes being thrown on the dance floor.

Being a same sex wedding photographer also means that I know that some wedding traditions are not relevant to LGBTQ couples and I’m passionate about helping you to make your day truly unique, and avoid aspects that may not resonate or sit comfortably with you. Your wedding day is yours to make your own. Don’t want to be “given away” or walked down the aisle? No problem. Cutting the cake sound like an outdated and cheesey tradition? Let’s skip that shot. You really can have a wedding centred around who you are and I’ll be here to help you do that.

We would 100% recommend Ross for your wedding photography. Ross shot our London based wedding in July 2022.

We aren’t comfortable in front of the camera but Ross made us feel at ease right away. Having pre-wedding photos is such a great part of the package.

It was important to us that he had experience of shooting LGBT weddings and he didn’t disappoint!

On the day, he felt like a guest- not just our photographer – all our friends commented on how good he was and how he was everywhere all day!

Through the pandemic he was supportive and kept in touch with thoughtful cards and msgs. He is quick to answer any queries and we found him open and approachable.

After the wedding, he turned the photos around really quickly and most importantly we love them!

Kind, thoughful, patient and professional: a star!

My approach to being a London gay wedding photographer centres on getting to know who you are, what makes you tick and learning how together we can celebrate the love you have been lucky enough to find.

Once I’ve learnt all about you and how my gay wedding photography can help to create lasting memories of your wedding, I will produce wedding images that are fun-filled and dripping with authentic moments of your wonderful day; from photos of tearful vows at your ceremony to your guests being outrageous on the dance floor.

I capture wedding images that showcase people looking and feeling their absolute best, and your gay wedding photoshoot is designed to make you walk away feeling incredible about yourselves.

Photographing same sex weddings is an absolute privilege, but gay photography can often perpetuate standards of beauty that are unrealistic and narrow-minded. I’m here to shoot your wedding in a manner that showcases how wonderfully unique you are and to highlight how awesome you should feel about yourself.

You’ve met someone who loves you just as you are, and by being your wedding photographer I want to capture how brilliant that feeling is as you celebrate a truly momentous day.

As a full-time wedding photographer, London is an incredible, diverse city in which to work and I love capturing images for couples from all backgrounds and of all identities.

There is no other couple quite like you anywhere in the world, and there is no other gay wedding photographer – London, UK or worldwide – quite like me, so let’s get planning your ultimate wedding photography experience together.
