Tell Me about TOWER BRIDGE
Wedding venues don’t get any more iconic than Tower Bridge. One of the most recognised and photographed London Landmarks, many people don’t realise that they can say “I do” within this historic building. Tower Bridge offers not one but three spaces for your wedding celebrations; two of which are licensed for the ceremony itself, whilst all three can provide the backdrop for your drinks and reception. You have a choice of hiring one, two or all three spaces for your wedding day.
The Walkways are glass-floored and sit 42 metres above the river Thames. Offering unrivalled panoramic views of the London skyline. You and your guests will enjoy the breath-taking sights of the sun setting over The Shard, St Paul’s Cathedral and Canary Wharf.
Below the southside of the bridge are the Victorian Engine Rooms, in which sit the engines that previously motored the Bridge Lifts. These rooms also contain fascinating references and information on the origins of the bridge, and you’ll feel like you have stepped back in time to a bygone era. The Engine Rooms are not licensed for ceremonies.
The third space available to hire as part of your special day is the North Tower Lounge. A relaxed and more informal space, the lounge features incredible architectural features such as Victorian leaded windows, and views of the South Bank.
What makes TOWER BRIDGE special?
Whilst the building itself offers a truly unique setting which will remain a talking point for your guests for years to come, a wedding venue is only as good as the people on hand to help deliver a truly memorable occasion.
Fortunately, at Tower Bridge, you will be looked after by The Perfect Wedding Company, a wedding team that understands how unique each wedding is and who work alongside you to ensure your day is exactly as you dream it to be. They have extensive experience in helping to plan LGBTQ weddings and pride themselves on really getting to know each couple that books Tower Bridge as the setting for their celebrations. The team can also recommend a range of styling, drinks and entertainment options for you.
Tower Bridge works exclusively with Seasoned, who are event caterers that specialise in quality British ingredients and work with you to create a menu that exceeds your expectations. Paul Yeo – the head chef – has worked for many years with Tower Bridge and so you can be guaranteed that your wedding breakfast will be as iconic as the venue.
