The 50 acres of gardens at Great Fosters are the natural first choice for wedding portraits following your ceremony and drinks reception. We were fortunate to have great weather for this September wedding, so we took full advantage of the little bridge, hidden gardens and meticulously sculpted hedges. However, we also made use of the light that flooded in to the wood panelled corridors and the historic stairs, which resulted in striking portraits that flattered both the couple and the venue. 

The Orangery is perfectly illuminated by natural light and the couple and their guests were lit beautifully throughout the ceremony, as was the incredible harpist Tomos Xerri. 

This space was also beautifully enhanced by floristry from Gabi at The Fine Flowers company – as was The Tithe Barn during the wedding breakfast. 

In fact, what makes being a Great Fosters wedding photographer so interesting and exciting is being able to capture differently lit spaces throughout the day.  The Tithe Barn created a darker, more intimate mood – perfect for the couple’s candlelit meal and speeches.
