Enjoy this gallery of images from Vic & Dec’s gorgeous micro wedding in London, taken by me – a Law Society wedding photographer.
There’s something quietly powerful about a micro wedding. Stripped of fuss, centred on connection, and filled with the kind of honest emotion that can only unfold when the room holds your most treasured people.
This day – a heartfelt celebration at The Law Society on 113 Chancery Lane – was just that. Thoughtful, stylish, deeply personal. As a micro wedding photographer in London, I often find that smaller weddings have the biggest emotions. And this one was no exception.
If the idea of having a camera pointed at you all day fills you with nerves, you’re not alone. That’s exactly why I created my free guide Presence Over Posing to help you feel calm, confident, and completely yourself in your wedding photos. You can download it here or keep reading to see how beautifully relaxed a wedding day can really feel.
The Law Society is one of those rare venues that balances grandeur with intimacy. Nestled in the heart of legal London, it offers a sense of heritage and elegance that’s hard to replicate. Its panelled rooms, golden lighting and arched windows create a quiet luxury – the kind that feels more whispered than shouted.
As a The Law Society wedding photographer, I love how the space holds emotion gently. It’s not just visually stunning, it’s emotionally grounding. Whether it’s a moment of laughter during speeches, or the way a parent lingers after a hug, the setting lends a richness to every gesture.
This couple chose the venue for its intimacy and understated charm and it truly delivered.
Every wedding has a heartbeat. At this one, it pulsed through every touch, glance, and quiet smile exchanged between the couple and their closest people. Micro weddings have a way of amplifying emotion – there’s no crowd to hide in, no schedule so full you can’t breathe.
I remember the bride clasping her father’s hand just before the ceremony, the groom sharing a quiet joke with his brother, the table of toasts that turned into a circle of shared stories and laughter. These were the moments that made the day unforgettable.
It wasn’t about posing. It was about being.
Many of my couples are beautifully introverted. They don’t love being centre of attention, and they often worry:
“Do I need to know what to do with my face?”
“What if I feel awkward?”
“Will it look obvious that I’m nervous?”
The truth? Nerves are natural and they’re not something to hide. They’re something to work with. I guide gently, never force. I’ll tell you the story I’m seeing, help you breathe through the moment, and remind you that there’s no one way to ‘perform’ for the camera.
The portraits from this wedding weren’t stiff or overly styled. They were quiet, connected moments — secret giggles, whispered I love yous, deep breaths before the ceremony. That’s the kind of beauty I love to photograph.
